Astral lets you build your chart analysis around the way you trade. Developed by Merkava Labs for MetaTrader 5, it is a family of complementary tools with distinct roles: volume-weighted movement, structure, momentum, volatility and directional shifts. Use a module on its own or combine the perspectives your strategy needs. You do not need the entire family to build a useful setup.

Volume combines price movement with broker tick volume to show direction through the lens of tick activity. Relative intensity places the reading within its recent history, while higher-timeframe context adds another perspective on the move.
Structure brings the latest eligible setup, structural levels, initial stop and target references into one chart view. These references help you examine the setup in relation to price. The pivot anchors the drawing; it is not the time when the setup first became available.
Momentum provides a histogram and an independently controlled curve, with higher-timeframe direction available for context. An optional, separate strength view adds another reading where applicable, without replacing the module's own signal logic.
Astral Volatility’s innovative algorithm brings relative price activity, direction and confirmed events into a dedicated view, keeping the price chart clear. Radar displays activity as columns on a 0–100 scale; Ribbon offers a compact view of direction and events. Breakout and Focus provide distinct signal modes. The module works on a single timeframe.
Shift identifies directional changes on closed candles, which may accompany a reversal or a continuation after a pullback. Support and resistance zones provide context without being a prerequisite for a signal. Signal Price, SL and TP references outline the latest analytical plan.
Begin with the question you want to answer. Shift focuses on changes in local direction; Structure examines setups around structural levels and their breaks. Volume, Momentum and Volatility add complementary readings when tick activity, impulse or market activity matter to your method.
If you are learning technical analysis, one or two modules offer a manageable starting point. Shift with Volume lets you compare directional shifts with volume-weighted momentum and relative intensity. Structure with Volatility brings setup levels and market activity into the same review. Experienced and professional traders can combine three or four modules when their strategy calls for them. Structure, Momentum and Volume, for example, bring together setup references, impulse and tick-volume-weighted movement; Volatility can add an activity reading. A focused one- or two-module setup is equally appropriate when it supplies the information your rules require.
At Merkava Labs, we use this modular approach internally to build and test advanced trading strategies. These combinations illustrate analytical roles; entry, exit and risk rules still need to be defined and tested for each strategy.

If you already use a Merkava Labs product, choose another tool when its particular reading or workflow serves a clear purpose in your method.
