Choosing your tools

What is Astral?

Astral is a family of complementary analytical tools for MetaTrader 5, built around five distinct readings: volume-weighted movement, structure, momentum, volatility and local directional shifts. Each module has a focused role within a shared visual language. Use the readings that help you understand the market in the way your strategy requires.

How does Astral fit alongside Meridian Pro, Azimuth Pro and The Oracle Pro?

Astral expands the Merkava Labs range. The Pro family remains a core part of the collection. Meridian Pro brings bias, strength, fuel and consensus into a synthetic timeframe matrix; Azimuth Pro combines swing structure and ABC setups with synthetic timeframe filters; The Oracle Pro provides synthetic multi-timeframe bias and context. These specialist tools can be used together and alongside Astral. Choose by the reading and workflow you need: Astral Structure, for example, brings the latest eligible setup, timeframe context and initial stop and target references into one chart view. Existing Pro users can keep their established workflow and add a module when its particular contribution serves a clear purpose.

Do I need the whole Astral family?

No. Every module can be used on its own, and a focused one- or two-module setup can provide the readings your method needs. Shift with Volume lets you compare local directional changes with volume-weighted movement and relative intensity. Structure with Volatility brings setup levels and market activity into the same review. Add further perspectives when your strategy gives them a clear role.

Which tool should I start with?

Start with the question you want to answer. The product guide groups tools around timeframe context, structure and setups, impulse and tick activity, local directional changes, and relative price activity. Compare the tools within that reading, then use the product page, chart examples and manual to decide which workflow fits your method.

How do the Pro editions differ from the free editions?

Pro editions deepen the workflow around the core analytical logic. Meridian Pro extends the adaptive core shared with Meridian Trend into a synthetic timeframe matrix. Azimuth Pro adds synthetic timeframe filters, automatic ZigZag settings and closed-bar Confirmed Arrows to the ABC setup layer. The Oracle Pro adds a synthetic CTF / HTF1 / HTF2 bias stack, dual Trend State and Momentum State engines, VCD warnings and public outputs for EA integration. The product pages show the specific capabilities of each edition.

Understanding the readings

Are Merkava Labs tools designed for different markets?

Yes. Cross-asset robustness is part of the Merkava Labs design approach. Meridian, Azimuth and The Oracle are designed to stay usable across FX, metals, indices, crypto and related markets. For Astral, the module pages show its particular reading and documented chart examples. Data-dependent features also have specific requirements: Volume uses broker tick volume, while Momentum's optional Instrument Strength reading depends on synchronized broker data for its comparison basket. Check the chosen product's documentation for the instruments, inputs and settings relevant to your setup.

How should I interpret signal confirmation and repaint behaviour?

Read the confirmation rules for the specific tool and output. Astral Shift identifies directional changes on closed candles. In Astral Structure, the pivot anchors the drawing; it is not the time when the setup first became available. Azimuth Pro provides closed-bar Confirmed Arrows. Meridian Pro uses a synthetic timeframe architecture to address the classic weaknesses of standard multi-timeframe stitching. These are distinct behaviours, so use the product's own explanation and manual to understand when a reading becomes available and what it represents.

What is the difference between Volume, Momentum and Volatility?

Volume combines price movement with broker tick volume to show direction through the lens of tick activity, with relative intensity and higher-timeframe context. Momentum separates immediate price impulse from an independently controlled momentum curve; optional Instrument Strength adds a separate instrument-versus-basket context reading. Volatility shows relative price activity, direction and confirmed events through Radar or Ribbon views, with distinct Breakout and Focus signal modes. Choose the reading your analysis needs, or compare them when their different perspectives are useful together.

Platforms and access

Which trading platforms are supported?

The products currently presented on this site are for MetaTrader 5. Check the platform and release status on the individual product page before choosing a tool. Additional platform versions will be announced when available.

Where can I buy or download a product?

Public products link to their MQL5 Market listings from their product pages. Free editions have a download link; paid editions have a purchase link. Azimuth Quantum uses a private-access enquiry through the existing waitlist. Each product page provides the appropriate next step for its release state.

Research and support

How does Merkava Labs turn research into a product?

The workflow starts with original model design and implementation, then moves through out-of-sample validation, robustness testing, Monte Carlo-style stress work, cross-asset review and data-driven refinement before release. Visual clarity, structured readouts and robust logic are refined from real data and chart use. The research library explains the methodology, while product pages show how those ideas become tools for analysis.

Where can I find manuals, videos and product support?

Docs contains the Astral and Pro manuals in English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese and Japanese. The Astral video library includes an overview and a video for each module. For product support, contact Merkava Labs with the product name, version and MetaTrader platform so we can understand your request.

How can I download a research whitepaper?

Choose a published paper in the Research library and enter your name and email in the request form. Marketing consent is separate and optional: it is not required to obtain the paper. Once the request is confirmed, the page provides the PDF download. Forthcoming papers are clearly marked. If you need help with a request, contact Merkava Labs by email.
